Some know me as Lauren, others as Lola. I have been teaching Contemporary Pilates for over ten years and have specialised in FAMO Fascia Movement (formerly known as Slings Myofascial Training) for the past 9 years. I currently teach one-on-one sessions from my home in Walyalup (Fremantle), Western Australia.
Sessions are a blend of Pilates and FAMO Fascia Movement. The practice enhances whole-body vitality and movement freedom through a blend of slow and dynamic exercises, melting poses, and self-massages. You will experience slow, flowing sequences that lengthen and strengthen your body, through to dynamic, bouncing movements that will enhance your fascial elasticity. These multidimensional sequences soothe or relieve aches and pains, boost mood and immune function, and promote health and resilience. Exercise positions and movements are varied in order to foster your adaptability and freedom of movement, while exercises are built upon so that you can progress at a level which best suits your body.
What sets this class apart is its focus on fascia—your body’s most influential connective tissue system. When fascia is well-conditioned, muscles, joints, the brain, and internal organs, even gut feelings, function much, much better.
A major goal of these classes is postural ease; the ability to move freely and with ease from and into any position that you want or as life demands. These sessions will train your body and mind as a whole and promote physical well-being, leading to increased body awareness, as well as allowing you to experience the joy of movement!
